In 2014 we had an estimate of 415,129 children in the foster care system and every year around 250,000 children are added. While almost half return to their home, the remnant remains wondering. Today there are 108,000 children in foster care waiting to be adopted and the statistics shows that at least 30% of them will suffer child maltreatment.
On the other hand, nearly 700,000 women in the U.S. lose their husbands each year and will be widows for an average of 14 years. Also, the death of a spouse is ranked as the #1 Stressor, plus the rate of poverty among elderly widows is consistently three to four times higher than elderly married women.
A place of hope for
Widows
Being a widow at The Sower's House will no longer be a journey of sorrow. The Sower's House will offer them renewed opportunities. A home and a new meaning in life while they love and raise children to be the future leaders in their communities.
Orphans
The Sower's House will not only clothe, feed and educate America's orphans but we will offer them a nurturing family and a community that will raise them in the way of the Lord and help to grow them with a deep understanding of family values and good morals.
Society
The Sower's House is a place where everyone can fulfill their calling in life, while partnering with others to make local communities in the United States a better environment for all our children and their neighbors.
Together we can make a difference
We are sure our vision is feasible, sustainable and would help many children plus providing a home for widows with a life of fullness and joy. But to get there, we need to start somewhere. And that somewhere is our launching project for our base home called the "The Little Sower's House" It will be a home where 2 Widows and 6 Orphans will live and share life together as they grow and trust in The Lord. This home will be a starter home with all the necessary amenities to benefit the children and widows. Our staff will begin a new life with our children and widows along with our helpers and volunteers. It is a call that all have been called to do and that is; Learn to do Good, Seek Justice, Reprove the Oppressor, Defend the Fatherless, Plead for the Widow..... Isaiah 1:17 .....Won't you HELP !
